Gems, Reminders, Life of the heart!

Bismillah,

Alhamdulilah, all praise is due to Allah who has blessed us in so many ways! Oh Allah continue to bestow your favours on us.

Alhuda Gems for the week:

* Time passes, we will get busy, things will come up, but we have to ponder on how we spend our time.

* Whenever we hear verses about disbelievers (such as 6-7 of Baqarah) we might have a tendency to tune them out. 1/3rd of the Quran addresses them, we our selves should take a lesson. Subhana’Allah just now I’m thinking how that in itself (that Allah addresses the believers in 1/3rd Quran) as being a mercy for them and us. This is Allah’s mercy, He doesn’t give up on us, it is mostly us he renounce all hope and give up easily. The doors of Allah’s mercy, guidance, and love for us is open…we just have to try harder! For these verses, we need to reflect on them, really in take because nothing/is ever guaranteed for us. In the same way Allah talks about the disbelievers so much, because indeed we are not guaranteed to die as believers. Disbelief in Allah is the greatest removal of Allah’s mercy on us and it leads to our destruction, Allah is constantly reminding us “Oh my slave, don’t die in this state!”

* Goes with the upper points: A young devout man hastened to do the adaan everyday, he came early so he could get this reward. One day he sees a woman, its love at first sight for him. He goes to her house, asks for her hand, she turns him down because he is muslim and she is Christian. He becomes a Christian to marry her, and as soon as he gets married he falls off a roof and dies, he dies as a Christian. Here is a man believing in Allah, the one God, and he converts for someone and even at that what he sought didn’t happen for him. The reality is that this can be anyone practising, they can be easily taken away from the path…this is indeed a reminder for us!

* We need to keep up, guard our iman, protect our imaan, because this is the only thing that will avail us on the Day of Judgement! Not our children, nothing, nada, just our imaan! Our world life will keep us busy..my teacher mentioned how out of all that she owns, the most important thing is her faith. It is what would save her!

*The Quran is what keeps our faith alive. We need it, we need to get closer to the Quran. This is what the mutaqee does, the God conscious one seeks this books, uses this book!

* Quran! Read it, learn it, study it, keep up with it. This gives life to the heart!

* Death: people die every day. Some are famous and some not famous. My teacher pointed how regardless of what someone had or did in the dunya, i.e their status in the dunya, it doesn’t matter in terms of the hole they will be placed in. A hole is a hole, what matters is our faith and our closeness to Allah subhana wa tala. Speaking death, Imaam Siraj Wahhaj has this amazing lecture on preparing for death…its really moving, subhana’Allah.

Till next time, may Allah make us of the people of the Quran and those who take reminders to heart and implement in their lives!

Stuff

Bismillah,

Alhamdulilah, Bayyinah’s Tajweed class was very nice. I learned a lot in the last 6 days, and bithniAllah I’ll continue to learn more in the next 6 days as I’ll be taking the class again via online. Alhamdulilah, not only did I learn a lot about Tajweed these days, but of my love for Tafseer. I knew I’ve always loved this aspect of the quran as once memorized the coolest and next best thing is understanding. Tajweed for me is a completion or the beginning of the beautifying my package in becoming a companion of the Quran.

Ibn Katheers set: 169 Alhamdulilah, priceless.

A week till school starts….alhamdulilah. Soon the beginning of a whirl wind of activities. Halaqahs, teaching my munckins, work, school, heavenly Hues, Al-Huda part-time Ta3leemal class. Alhamdulilah, what more can I ask for…may Allah make me of those slaves who state “Radeeto Rabbi” in Jannah, who after being given all that they could possibly imagine and their Lord continues to give more and more.

A beautiful lecture in understanding the concept of when one part of the Ummah hurts-then all of it hurts.  May Allah bless Imam Siraj Wahhaj.

Till next time, may Allah bestow His blessings upon all of us and join us in Al-Firdous.

Death/Grateful?

Bismillah,

Below are some really funny, awesome, cool videos.

Death: “You complain, shut up”

Grateful (prayer): “Come on, where you going…you gotta get up”

Masha’Allah such an dynamic speaker. Subhana’Allah, imagine the words of shaytaan when he said “Wal Tajidoo Aktharhum Shakiroon” (you will find most of them ungrateful). And that is the tricks of the shaytaan…to make the people ungrateful…such a weired stage to be in, meaning that the individual will take things for granted, from the house they sleep in, for the food, the air, and everything Allah has given them. I think a lot times this may come about when we focus on what Allah hasn’t given us, and thus we begin to concentrate just on that and forget all the ni3ma that Allah has given us. Subhana’Allah, a reminder to myself first and foremost to always count my blessings. May Allah make us of those who thank Him much for the good and the bad.

New lecture, new beginnings

Bismillah,

Came back home…abt a week ago. Alhamdulilah

Ways to Paradise: Imam Siraj Wahhaj

*1 sister-use to think that she was sure she was going to Jannah until she heard in a lecture one day and said to herself “I am going to hell if I don’t get my act together”

*You don’t just go to Jannah because your Muslim

*Everyone should ask themselves “What are my chances that I’ll go to Jannah?”

*The companions were different from us in that they had a keen sense of Paradise-a desire to go there-Jannah was real to them

*Hell-fire=Every 1000 take-999 these are the people of the hell-fire (Sahih Bukhari) [Companions=Sad]

*Siraj Wahhaj’s favorite companion: 3ukasha ibn Muhsin

*Poor people will enter Jannah 500 years before rich people-rich people who don’t pay zakah-in that waiting period will be burnt, heated, will be branded.

*Some people have to be purified , we won’t get there without Allah’s mercy

*Hope/Fear=be Humble

*We all know of people who use to practice~The wife/husband not paying attention

*Aisha r.a said that the Prophet s.a.w. use to remember Allah in every circumstance-wives, prayer, waking, dressing, etc.

*The Prophet s.a.w told Abdullah Ibn Umar bil 3as-“Don’t be like this person, he use to wake up for qiyam and left it”

*We all say “I use to..” , “I use to…”

*Be Humble

*1.) Allah is merciful=He gives the gift of Jannah to who He pleases

2.) Be careful-Allah’s mercy-He turns people around

*To Siraj Wahhaj there is nothing more beloved to him then being a muslim

*Thankful-“I know where I was”, Some people are running towards the dunya

*Allah makes us dependent on others-Jama3-prayer-more reward- rights of the muslim are 5–returning of the salaam

*Don’t become muflis-bankrupt-Allah can take it away–The Prophet s.a.w.-zakah, etc. mountain of deeds-but because they back bitted or cursed others-they come out with nothing in Yawmul Qiyamah.

*The strong believer is more loved by Allah then the weak believer-but both are loved to Allah

*Siratil Mustaqeen-pray that Allah places us on this path

*Be humble-“All of my ummah will go to Jannah except those who refuse”

*Music “Whoever imitates the people becomes of them”

*Quran is a message & method-from one stage to another- for people

*Spirituality-best way-follow the Sunnah of the Prophet s.a.w.
