Our end…

Posted: June 3, 2009 in Ahh moments

Alhamdulilah, all praise is due to Allah, who has fashioned the human being in the best form, and granted for destinies only known to Him. Alhamdulilah, its that time again..the ending of a quarter, and at that the beauty of the summer time. Masha’Allah, Allah is the greatest. As I finished off one of my exams today, prayed dhur, and recited Surah fussilaat, I thought hard about the meaning intended in the verse below. Its one of my favorite reminders of all time…although today, I looked upon with eyes that reflected on the end…that is the conclusion drawn from this beautiful ayah. That indeed, were all destined to somewhere, what I wonder though, is whether our journy will be made safer with the company of the heavenly agents. Indeed, it is one of my desires to be of those whom the angels accompany in their leave from this world to that of the hereafter. In addition to this, I thought about one of the concepts I learned in Al-Huda a while back i.e that the successful people (the mufliheen), those who strive day and day out in doing good, working hard, struggling and then tasting the fruits of their labor, they..these people surely have the end in mind. They have a vision, a focus, a goal. They make these goals and visions a reality with the help of Allah of course. In my minds eye, these people adjust and adapt to change, yet overall in their hearts their eman is so strong it does not let them stray from their true goal; to be of those who Allah is pleased with. I ask Allah to make us of those who the angels accompany in this life and the hereafter. Of those who the angels make dua in their dunya to be brought closer to all that is good and mighty, and to be given the best of abodes in the hereafter. Till next time, may we be joined by His mercy.

Some focus! Focus! Focus! I’ve gone from doing a thousand things, to narrowing down to those of priority in the last few months. Alhamdulilah. I am reminded of the days in which the Prophet sal allahu alahi wa sallam was seeking solace in the quietness of the mountain, before the revelations came to him. Of the quietness and his quest for answers that plagued him. Alhamdulilah!

Inna allatheena qaloo rabbuna Allahu thumma istaqamoo tatanazzalu AAalayhimu almalaikatu alla takhafoo wala tahzanoo waabshiroo bialjannati allatee kuntum tooAAadoona

41:30 In the case of those who say, “Our Lord is Allah., and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): “Fear ye not!” (they suggest), “Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!

Dua to memorize and read after each salaah. Simple; full of rewards.

Allahumma-a-inni ala zikrika wa shukrika wa husni ibadatika.
O Allah! Help me in remembering Thee, in expressing gratitude to Thee, and in worshipping Thee in the best of manners.
