That Day

Bismillah,

Alhamdulilah, a while ago I came across a hadeeth speaking about Aisha r.a and of her recitation in salaah of a specific ayah.

Qaloo inna kunna qablu fee ahlina mushfiqeena

52:26 They will say: “Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.

Famanna Allahu AAalayna wawaqana AAathaba alssamoomi

52:27 “But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.

It is while she was in salaah she recited these verses, and one of her nephews came and heard her reciting it. He went away to run some errands and when he came back she was still reciting the same verses and crying. In the translations above, the word people can stand for family. When I first heard the lecture it was mentioned as family. She basically was scared, and feared for her family members in ending up in the hell-fire.

In Yamul Qiyam there will come a time when we will all run away from one another, scared and worrying about ourselves. Its very scary, I worry of my family and what will become of them. We will all be questioned, non will intercede for ones family members. We will all be brought to account. May Allah protect my family, guide them to that which is best, and remove them from that which harms.

In the lecture, I had previously posted, there is a part in which the shaykh mentions what Salman Al-Farsi did upon hearing the Prophet s.a.w. recite a verse from Surah Maryam. Upon beginning the verse with “Wa maa minkum…Salman begin to cry and run away and didn’t want him to continue

19:71 And every one of you will come within sight of it: Asad(19,55)this is, with thy Sustainer, a decree that must be fulfilled.

Wain minkum illa wariduha kana AAala rabbika hatman maqdiyyan

وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا (19:71)

Asad(19,56)19:72 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. Asad(19,57)

Thumma nunajjee allatheena ittaqaw wanatharu alththalimeena feeha jithiyyan

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا (19:72)

19:45 O my father! I dread lest a chastisement from the Most Gracious befall thee, and then thou wilt become [aware of having been] close unto Satan!” Asad(19,34) Topics discussed in this Verse:
[Abraham:argues with father against idolatry] [Abraham:remonstrates with Azar] [Allah’s attributes:Most Gracious] [Satan:do not follow or obey or worship]

Ya abati innee akhafu an yamassaka AAathabun mina alrrahmani fatakoona lilshshyatani waliyyan

يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَن فَتَكُونَ
