Good company

Bismillah,

Today I accompanied my friend in the hopes of helping her out with something. It was while in her company that she mentioned of an incident that made her realize the importance of looking to be amongst righteous company. Subhana’Allah. As the Prophet s.a.w. said look to your friends for you are on the religion of your friends. For one is truly affected by the action, speech, and character of the individual they keep company with. Its a bit scary actually to think of keeping in company with one who will not aid you in your journey to the akhirah, who in reality will hinder you from an abode of everlasting happiness and splendor.

The dangerous of the tongue are many…Subhana’Allah, if only many would take heed. I realized that if the tongue is constantly moving and is used only to speak of that which doesn’t concern the speaker or even more so used for Idle talk it can be deadly. For what weighs heavy on the tongue begins to take a heavier toll on the heart! Oh and the heart, Subhana’Allah is that which is the powerhouse of the body. So, my point–let the tongue be ever so filled with kallaumAllah (speech of Allah). One who has this shall forever be left with a beautiful feeling that cannot be affected by any illness that attacks the soul and of the precious heart.

Ok, I totally gotta recite my Ashir!

Ohhh…gotta check out the beautiful recitation above.
